Joseph C. Parker

Joe Parker has spent his entire legal career with Downey & Cleveland, starting as an associate in 1976, and becoming a partner in 1980. Since 2011, Joe has been Of Counsel to the firm. During his tenure with the firm, Joe has tried over 150 jury trials, primarily in the area of personal injury defense, although he has also tried a number of cases in the areas of medical malpractice, probate, real estate, condemnation, zoning, municipal law (including federal actions under 42 U.S.C. 1983), and commercial matters. Joe currently focuses his practice on estate planning, probate matters, and commercial issues. In 2011, Joe was privileged to be appointed as an Assistant Probate Court Judge in Cobb County, Georgia. He is a certified neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
