James Sherrill is an associate attorney with Downey & Cleveland, LLP in Marietta, Georgia.

James’ litigation practice focuses on the defense of individuals and businesses in the area of personal injury.

In addition to serving as trial counsel in magistrate cases, James has assisted in the preparation of several summary judgment and appellate briefs.

Prior to pursuing his legal career, James worked as a Senior Account Executive, Membership Services with the Atlanta Braves. While in law school at Georgia State University, James worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for Professor Erin Fuse Brown, then-Director of the GSU College of Law’s # 1 nationally ranked Health Care Law Program, assisting Professor Fuse Brown in contributing to numerous journals such as the Stanford Law Review and Health Affairs Forefront.

Outside the practice of law, James is a huge baseball enthusiast who cheers on the Braves. He also roots for his alma mater, Florida State, and the Carolina Panthers. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, an American Staffordshire Terrier and German Shepherd.
