William R. Gordon, Jr.

William’s practice primarily focuses on defending individuals and businesses in the areas of automobile liability and medical negligence.

He has also handled matters involving premises liability regarding claims of negligent security.

William has tried cases in Georgia as lead counsel, and he has obtained outright defense verdicts or verdicts that were substantially less than what was sought by the opposing party.

Before joining the firm, William worked for a law firm in Montgomery, Alabama, where he handled first party claims against insurance carriers involving bad faith allegations and third-party personal injury claims. In addition, he handled employment matters where he represented teachers and non-teacher school employees in a host of matters involving termination, suspension, probation and other disciplinary actions in both arbitrations and administrative hearings. William then moved to Atlanta in 2010, where he joined a large multi-state insurance defense firm and practiced there for eight years. He then tried his hand at Plaintiff’s work, but ultimately decided that defense work was and has always been a better fit.

While in law school, William clerked for Judge William A. Shashy, a Circuit Court Judge for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit located in Montgomery. During that time, he gained valuable first-hand knowledge in civil and criminal litigation, and that clerkship helped him decide to pursue a career in civil defense litigation.

William is licensed to practice in Georgia and Alabama.
